Bol is known for its famous beach, Zlatni Rat, AKA, The Golden Horn. We went on each of our two days there. You know it is time for the trip to end when your kids complain about going to one of the world's most beautiful beaches.
Again, our agenda was light, with pool time and beach time taking priority. Nana and Pops walked out to the local monastery one afternoon. There was also a Mediterranean culinary festival happening with Morrocco as this year's guest country. Pete and I went to an event one night at the local winery and sampled Croatian and Moroccan hors d'oeuvres and local wine.

| There was a beautiful, pine tree-lined promenade from town to the beach. |
| Another ninja warrior course that Jude did on our last day. |
| It looks like white sand from a distance, but it is a typical Croatian rocky beach. |
| At the tip of the horn |
| Friends who had recently been in Bol recommended Pumparela Restaurant and it was a wonderful meal on another beautiful evening. |
| I mean... |
| Yacht week catamarans came to port (along with lots of young, party-goers), which was our cue to leave ;) |
| The flags on the boats represented the guests on board. Lots of American and Australian flags along with very specific ones like those from Notre Dame and U. Michigan. |
On the final day of our trip, we caught the ferry from Bol back to Split, where we had some time to get one final gelato and chill in the shade along the promenade before our flight home. The city was noticeably busier in the week since we'd left for the islands. I cannot imagine what the crowds and heat of July and August are like, but was very glad to have visited in late June.
Such a wonderful trip! Wishing I could be back there with my family now!
