Final Days in Mallorca

More resort time and then dinner out at Dimmock's Restaurant, followed by catching the end of a cloudy sunset from the dramatic Mirador des Balconet.

Last full day. We went to the Platja de Can Pastilla for a bit in the morning and then drove to Llucmajor for lunch. This was the closest town to the resort and I wished we'd visited sooner as it was super cute and had a lot of great-looking restaurants, all around a central square with a playground.

Tapas feast

Tapas + Crepes. Finally, a winner. We had a hard time this trip with Maeve at restaurants given her picky eating. By the end of the week, we were feeding her dinner at home before going to restaurants, where she would just get dessert.

For our last dinner, we headed up to Randa to Sa Tanqueta.

She asked to pose with my wine ;)

Sums them up- Jude with a huge piece of meat, Maeve with dessert.

The best sunset was on the last night and we were at a nice vantage point to see it (playground and all!)

We checked out and flew home on Easter Sunday, but not before a visit from the Easter bunny at the resort!

Spotted by the pool!

The resort made an egg hunt, which the kids enjoyed. The Easter bunny had also visited our house while we were gone and hid eggs for when we returned that evening.

Love returning by plane to the Netherlands in April!

The Gorgeous Mondrago Natural Park

The resort was inland in the southeast of the island, an area we hadn't yet explored. The beaches along the east coast, however, are primarily rocky and rugged. I read good things about some beaches in the Mondrago Natural Park. Wow, it exceeded expectations! We had a beautiful, warm and sunny day for it, though the water was still freezing.

Two friends back home sent us their "flat" children to show around the Netherlands and we took them with us to Mallorca.

Obsessed with the color of the water.

We went on a little walk in the forest and then settled on the beach. The kids made a friend building a sand castle and Pete ventured to the one beach cafe to bring us some lunch.

I told the kids I would like to live in that little house on the rocks!

Resort life in the afternoon.

We went to the recommended Es Mirador de Son Sama for dinner. It was a little too cold to sit on the large outdoor patio, but we caught the sunset at the end.

Jude, our meat lover, was in heaven.
