Jude's last words before falling into a deep sleep at night, "I'm just really not that tired." Yeah, ok. His reluctance to sleep goes back to day 1 so it's something we've just had to work with. He still needs his day time nap and sleeps most days at pre-school. On the weekends, however, if we are home he is quite reluctant to go to bed. So we try to plan our weekend outings such that we are driving home at nap time. Jude "doesn't like the highway because it makes me sleepy." Bingo. Still, some days he fights even the car lull to sleep, which results in us driving around and around and around. Not a big deal unless you factor in the price of gas!
I filled up today at a price lower than I've seen in months: 1.48 euro per liter.
So $1.74 per liter which converts to $6.59 a gallon. The Netherlands is not trying to gouge us. This is the standard worldwide cost of gas in countries where it isn't highly subsidized. Little man may notice some dinero missing from his piggy bank soon if he keeps this up ;)
