Week 4 Social Distancing

We spent week 4 of social distancing dealing with additional every day life stresses (non-serious health issue, failed car inspection). The added anxiety that week was not appreciated! We did escape on Monday afternoon to the beach. We left sunny, warm Amstelveen and arrived 35 minutes later in cold, grey Katwijk. But the beach was empty and it was a change of scenery and a welcome distraction. Another day we biked to Amstel park, which was pretty busy given the glorious weather. It was a 4 day "school" week, which was good because we were all a bit burned out from 3 weeks of homeschool. The highlight of the week was a virtual wine tasting with one of my book clubs. Six 100ml bottles of wine were delivered to mine and 9 other ladies houses and then we all hopped on a zoom call with the two owners as they led us through an interactive wine tasting (visual aids and pop quizes included). It was a beautiful night so I was able to sit in the garden. Bliss!
