Vacation Dreams in Castellammare del Golfo

Our last day in Trappeto was super relaxed. We spent the day by the pool and packing and only ventured out to the beach around 5pm. An Amsterdam friend had recommended a beach cafe 25 minutes south of us in Castellammare del Golfo, stating that it was the best pizza she had ever had. Well, we had to try it.

Our kids were so excited to ride in the Assody's minivan with the other kids! The song of the trip was Dance Monkey by the Tones and I.

After 5pm was the perfect time to be at the beach. We had it mostly to ourselves, the sun wasn't too hot and the water still felt amazing.

The beach cafe, Lido Zanzibar was equally deserted. Another COVID heartbreak. The pizza, while probably not the best we've ever had, was very good.

And gelato filled brioche for dessert with the sunset behind. That was a really good night.
