Our Two Travel Troopers

To say we subject our kids to a bit of travel is an understatement. 

This little miss just visited her 12th country! We get asked a lot (mainly by non-expat friends) how we manage all the travel. We have the packing down to a science and have invested in good travel equipment. Whenever possible we choose AirBnBs that have cribs, high chairs, etc. 

And we continue to score great deals on airfares. From the advice of friends, we decided to visit Sardinia at the end of the school year this year. As soon as Easyjet released their airfares, I was on it, booking the one way fare for our family of 4 for $150. While on the site, I saw that Easyjet flew to Budapest, a city on our ever-growing list of places to see. At $50 a roundtrip ticket I couldn't pass it up. Even if it only allowed for a 2 day visit. If you can believe it, in all of our Euro travels, we have only been delayed two times. Both times with Easyjet (and once on this trip coming home). Never more than 45 minutes so we aren't complaining. Besides, it couldn't be easier to check in for Easyjet flights at Schiphol. There is a separate security entrance where they don't even check your passport. And then, once through, there is this fun slide that we all look forward to!

 Particularly because all of that running around wears the LOs out for the flights!

We get complimented when we travel with the kids at how well they behave. We work hard to achieve this as we want to give parents traveling with kids a good rap! Jude is not allowed to kick the chair in front of him and we make sure Maeve gets the rest she needs by wearing her in the carrier up and down the aisles. It is exhausting for us for sure, but all part of this great adventure!
