Today was our unplanned, upscale day on Paros. Our hotel starred a number of beaches and restaurants around the island and it was our mistake not to look them up ourselves in advance! Everyplace was gorgeous though and it had us feeling like ballers for the day.
First, some no-cost fun at one of the playgrounds I had spotted on our drive around the island. The only playgrounds we found were at churches, and this one was particularly scenic. Overlooking a blue roofed chapel, the water and down across to the neighboring island, Antiparos.

After a break back at the hotel, we went to the Northern port town of Naousa, not having any idea how charming it would be. We made our way down through the village to the port to a restaurant at the end of the pier, Barbarossa. Oh my goodness, the beauty of that spot: the boats in the harbor in front of the white washed building, the little church at the tip of the peer, the rising village below. It made the pricey dinner with two kids that were not having it worth it. We took turns letting the kids run around, chasing each other, playing red light, green light. Then a nighttime drive home to our hotel, getting to experience Greek Island night driving!!
