Maeve is 5!

We are officially the parents of two big kids! Maeve had been talking about and planning for her birthday since January when she started making homemade invitations for each of her classmates. She was very clear that the theme of her party would be dragons and we made the pinata in March. Maeve has a very close-knit pre-K group and wanted all of her friends at her party. Venues were still closed, so we had the party at home and she was one delighted little girl! First, though, we celebrated her birthday on the day while we were glamping in Petten with cupcakes and presents. 

Took a lot of hands to keep the candle lit! 

We weren't allowed in the classroom, but sent Maeve to school with treats to share with her classmates for her party at school. 

Finally, the day of her party arrived! It was a beautiful day for her and her friends were all so sweet. We don't get many opportunities to see them all together with COVID. We're hoping they'll all be together next year as well. 

Jude had the perfect costume for her Dragon themed party

The snack table was very popular. I had no idea kids could eat that much 😂

Musical chairs was intense with 12 kids. Some tears were shed. Jude was victorious.
