Revisiting Bordeaux Two Years Later

The last day of our trip was spent in Bordeaux, after a morning stop at the Sarlat equivalent of Monkey Town. We were in Bordeaux 2 years ago so we already knew the spots that we wanted to visit with the kids: the botanic gardens with carousel and the reflecting pool in front of the Place de la Bourse. The kids had a blast, which made for a relaxing end to the trip.

It was not the same warm, summer weather of our last visit, but that didn't stop Maeve from running in and out of the water! She had just turned 2 months old when we were there before. Look at the photo of her below! Our little smush. And now look at this thriving two year old! Life is good.  And a picture of two year old Jude in the same fountains. So much has changed in 2 years.

After drying off and warming up, we ventured out for dinner. There were a few dinner spots open at the early hour and despite seeming quite touristy, we enjoyed a nice farewell meal under the twinkle lights with the city abuzz around us.

Home sweet home.
