Spring Festivities

Back from Italy, we celebrated a belated Easter with an egg hunt in the garden followed by a neighborhood hunt. Low key, high sugar! 

Maeve has been talking about (and sneakily eating) her Easter candy ever since!

A visit from Pops wouldn't be complete without some home project. We sure were glad he was here when our kitchen sink starting leaking!

I joined a private tour of the Hockney exhibit at the Van Gogh museum with my parents and a group from ISA. The colors! And scale! Hockney is from Yorkshire, where most of these paintings are from and it has me really excited to visit the beautiful countryside this summer!

Capping off a busy April was King's Day. The weather forecast wasn't great and we lacked the motivation to bring the kids into the city for the festivities so we were thrilled when Lien invited a group over to their house, which is in the heart of Amstelveen's celebrations. It was a really casual day, mostly watching the on-and-off rain action from their living room windows, sipping mimosas because, Orange!

So glad the weather has turned and we can spend more time on our bikes and at the playgrounds.

We welcomed Nana and Pops back after their very fun trip to Northwest Spain and enjoyed their company for one final day before they had to fly home.
