The pride parade was the day after the kids got home from camp and the day before we left for Austria. So while I'd wanted to go together as a family, I understood their desire to stay home and thankfully, Pete offered to stay back so I could enjoy the day with friends.
It was a cold dreary day (the theme for the second half of July/early August), but that didn't dampen the joyful mood that Pride brings to the city. We walked the length of Prinsengracht, ending at Beth and Rory's to escape the rain and use a bathroom!
