With our futbol matches behind us, it was time to explore more of our surrounding area. The region is known for salt flats, which we drove out to see on our way to the cute seaside village of Batz-sur-Mer.

If we'd had bikes, it would have been fun to bike around to see the flats.

Some sweet French homes

Chapel with boat-shaped ceiling

Ruins of an old church in the center of town

Cute little yellow beach huts

Found a cafe with an interesting tapas menu- not quite what we were expecting, but the setting was so lovely

Exploring the tidal pools
We found a nearby amusement park and promised the kids an afternoon there. It was hot, but the kids had fun.
Then some relaxing time back at the resort. The outdoor pool area was really nice and always had a shady lounge chair for me to read in.

Lots of Olympic viewing on my tablet thanks to HBO Max and the good WiFi. I loved being able to watch whatever we wanted in real time being in the same time zone.
