Pete and I are 3 days into our first time alone with our two kids. Nana arrived on the 7th and overlapped for two days with Opa and Oma before they left for a vacation to Ireland. Then Pops arrived on the 14th and they both will leave this Friday. Jude adores his grandparents and they have spoiled him with their love, attention and presents. He is going to be in heaven over Christmas this year when all 4 grandparents will be visiting together for 10 days! Our time alone is just a trial run as Nana and Pops will be back tomorrow night from a little trip they took to Barcelona.
The change from one to two kids is huge and would have been entirely overwhelming if we had been on our own in the early weeks. We are very grateful that our parents were able to make the trip and stay so long to support us.
