We have been blessed with gorgeous weather for days now. We took full advantage this weekend and packed lots of fun in for the whole family. Oma and Opa are still with us, helping a lot and being all star babysitters!
Friday afternoon was Pete's work end of year BBQ. It was Maeve's first party and first time meeting lots of friends so we dressed her appropriately. Baby girl dresses are just the cutest thing!
On Saturday morning we went to Artis, the Amsterdam zoo- a first for me. We have memberships now and hope to return a lot this summer as there is a lot to see and the setting is beautiful. Eating lunch next to the giraffes and zebras was very cool.

| Maeve slept the morning away |
In the afternoon we went to the local splash pool as the temperatures rose. That evening, Oma and Opa babysat both kiddos while Pete and I went to a co-worker's going away party. It felt great to be out in the city again knowing that the babes were in good hands. I was worried about the night of Maeve wake-ups after a late night out, but she only woke up once. Whatever Opa did, I need to know!
Not technically the weekend, but Monday night, Opa and Oma babysat again and Pete and had our first real date night at a river side restaurant in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. A beautiful sunny evening, celebrating the strides we have made in the past 3 weeks as a family of 4.
