We broke tradition and tried out a new apple picking spot this year! I was ready for a change from Olmenhorst and a new spot with a corn maze was recommended. We rode a covered truck bed under the train tracks to get to one of the apple picking spots. Though they only do 2 apple picking weekends a season, it wasn't very crowded and we took our time picking more apples than we could ever need.
Back at the farm, there were poffertjes, a small petting zoo, some playground equipment, and a craft table. We walked through the fields to the pumpkin patch (too picked over) and then to the corn maze. It was huge and I was actually concerned about getting lost in there, but luckily the kids found a way out after just 10 minutes. The apples were delicious. We'll see which place we pick next year!
