Scenes from Amsterdam

Before Pete started back to work this week, we took some time to get to know our new city. It still just feels like we are on holiday here with an AirBnB rental! The canals and bridges are of course beautiful. We wanted to explore the Jordaan and the Nine Streets. Bringing the stroller was a bad idea with the narrow sidewalks and bikers galore. From now on, we'll just be wearing him! Despite being very different, we think that certain areas of Amsterdam feel like NYC neighborhoods. Nine Streets=Soho. Parts of Jordaan= West Village. Dam Square= Time square (to be avoided at all costs!).

Pete was excited to return to the canal side beer bar, Arendsnest (Eagle's nest) which he visited on his May trip to Amsterdam. It was tasty!

Large beer list (all Dutch craft beers)!
Jude was a fan.
Cheese. 112. Perfection!

  1. Is a cheese museum just a bunch of really old cheese? I mean, I know some cheeses are better aged, but that place must just smell FUNKY.
