We decided to mix things up from our usual beach trips and went instead to Henschotermeer on a hot Sunday. 45 minutes away outside of Utrecht, this pristine lake park has been privatized. You pay an entrance and parking fee. It gave me Walden Pond vibes. There are a few playgrounds, food stands, and a path around the lake. The ice cream line took an eternity, but otherwise it was a very pleasant summer day!
We know how rare summers like these are in the NL and were very glad to be here to experience it!
